Samaritan Counseling Center

About Samaritan Counseling Center

Age Groups Served: Children, Teens and Adults

Hope, help and healing are the three words that embody the journey one takes when faced with a physical, mental, emotional or spiritual crisis. If you are struggling with a mental, emotional or spiritual challenge, Samaritan Counseling Center can help. Our professional, compassionate team of therapists specializes in a broad range of issues and uses positive, evidence based approaches to every situation.

All of the therapists are licensed by the state of Illinois and certified by professional organizations. They possess the skills and knowledge to help individuals, couples, families and groups pursue healthy changes as they work towards health, happiness and wholeness. Our Center is fully accredited by the Samaritan Institute, part of a consortium of 81 counseling centers with 430 locations around the country.

If you’re in the midst of a difficult relationship with your spouse, partner, relative or best friend, we will work with you to establish healthy boundaries, productive communication skills and rewarding relationships. If you’re being bullied at work, you’ll learn effective techniques to deal with an aggressive or demeaning boss or coworker.

If you are grieving, or feeling alone and isolated, having someone to talk to while journeying through a time of loneliness helps. When deep connections with the soul/psyche are made, hopefulness and healing can rise like a phoenix from the ashes of despair.

Insurance and Payment Information for this Provider:

At Samaritan, we recognize that counseling can be expensive, and seemingly out of reach for a person or family in financial hardship. A primary goal of our organization is to ensure that quality, professional counseling services can be affordable. Many of our services are reimbursable using health insurance. If health insurance is not available, or coverage is limited, an adjusted fee can be arranged using monies from our Good Samaritan Fund. This Fund, which subsidizes the fees of individuals and families based on household income, is made possible through the generous donations of community members, churches, businesses, and foundations.
