With a holistic approach to addressing the needs of Barrington area children and youth from early childhood through their launch into adulthood, BStrong Together provides programs, resources, and support to parents, children and youth, educators, community members, and others in our shared goal of raising happy, healthy, resilient, and adaptable children capable of successfully navigating the world of today and the future.

Areas of Focus

Parenting, healthy lifestyle, social emotional learning, stress management, mental health, mindfulness, resiliency, communication, drugs and alcohol, technology and social media, healthy relationships, depression, anxiety, suicide prevention, interpersonal violence/bullying, and resources for help.

Parents & Community Members

BStrong Together hosts expert speaker events, parent coffee presentations and discussions, and other educational opportunities for parents, caregivers, educators, and community members to provide them with tools, resources, support, and solutions they need to address the challenges of raising children in today’s complex world.

Children & Youth

BStrong Together develops programming for children and youth including the Barrington Committed program found in all Barrington 220 elementary and middle schools, the BC Bashes for all Barrington area middle schoolers, the Text-a-Tip mental health text line, and through the support of student organizations such as Broncos Committed and the Erika’s Lighthouse Chapter at Barrington High School.

The Community

BStrong Together brings the community together at the annual BStrong Together 5k Run/Walk & Family Fun Festival, partners with a wide variety of organizations throughout the community who share our mission to enhance the lives of children and youth to create robust programs, participates in community events such as KidsFest and National Night Out, hosts a community calendar on our website, and supports the needs of the community in a time of crisis through the Crisis Response Team.
